Elizabeth Hurley Joins Cast of 'Wonder Woman'

Elizabeth Hurley says she's "thrilled" to be joining the cast of NBC's upcoming reimagining of Wonder Woman. The 45-year-old actress will be playing an evil villain in the show's pilot episode.

Writing on her twitter page, Elizabeth said: "Thrilled to be doing the NBC pilot Wonder Woman. I'll be playing the evil villain. Can't wait."

While Lynda Carter originally played the iconic superhero -- who was first brought to life in DC Comics -- relatively unknown star Adrianne Palicki is set to assume the lead role in the pilot. However, last month's casting announcement may have come as a disappointment to Mad Men actress Christina Hendricks, who recently admitted she would love to play the part.

She said: "I've been wanting to wear that outfit my whole life! I'd love to do it. That would be such fun! Let's put it out there!"

The initial episode of Wonder Woman is to be made by studio giants Warner Bros, with Ally McBeal writer and producer David E. Kelly penning it and the subsequent series if it proves to be popular.

He recently explained while he enjoyed taking the helm, it was a "complicated" show to write.

David said: "I had a lot of fun writing it. It's a very complicated piece, which is the most fun thing about it."

Maybe Elizabeth Hurley and husband Arun Nayar really aren’t getting divorced (as the former model insisted via twitter) but are just going through a rough patch?

Only last Monday a British tabloid published pictures and video of Elizabeth kissing cricket player Shane Warne and both admitted on twitter that their marriages were in trouble.


Now Radar Online reports that Elizabeth has dumped Shane after finding out he’s also dating ANOTHER woman, Adele Angeleri. Adele’s husband, Denis, wasn’t too happy to find out about it, either: he’s released over 100 messages Shane sent his wife.

“My advice to Liz would be to steer well clear of him,” Denis Angeleri said.

Goodness! Maybe this is the reason Elizabeth isn’t hurrying to divorce her husband?

Cleavagey Ladies: Salma Hayek & Elizabeth Hurley

skinnyvscurvy - Salma Hayek (43) & Elizabeth Hurley (45)  looked pretty busty in cleavagey dresses at 2 recent events this week: Salma wore a strapless white number with red accessories at “Grown Ups” premiere in New York and Elizabeth showed off her upper curves (as always) at  Royal Rajasthan Gala Charity Auction Dinner.

"Psychologies" magazine pinned the needle on the "Oh that's so adorable" meter with three pictures of Li Bingbing cuddling a tiger cub and one of her holding a delicate plant. No big costume changes from photo to photo but she is wearing a different top in three of them.

I am unfamiliar with "Psychologies" which looks to be a very earnest UK women's magazine. Celebrities holding small animals may be one of their trademarks--the current issue or at least the issue that popped up when I googled it had Elizabeth Hurley holding a chicken:
