Gwyneth Paltrow Could Score Millions for Record Deal

Gwyneth Paltrow had a whirlwind red carpet season. The Academy Award-winning actress performed at both the Grammys and the Oscars, and just recently reprised her much-discussed role on Glee. Now reports are circulating that Paltrow, 38, is on the cusp of inking a major record deal—one that could prove quite lucrative for the willowy star.
On Wednesday, it was rumored that Paltrow had signed with Atlantic Records for about $900,000. The performer's rep dismissed the reports, telling People, "There is no deal yet."
A source told the New York Post that Gwyneth's sound is "country pop"—interesting, considering Paltrow has expressed her desire to work with Jay-Z on any future musical projects. Will Jay go country, too?
