Ex-Managers Hit Ke$ha with a $14 Million Dollar Lawsuit

Ke$ha (gossipbeast.com)
According to former managers inexplicably successful Ke$ha failed to honor a “commission deal” that helped her land a major contract, and now they are seeking $14 million in a lawsuit.

D.A.S. Communications is claiming Ke$ha agreed to pay them 20% of her earnings if they secured her a contract. Ke$ha’s lawyers dispute the claim saying that part of deal was that D.A.S. had 12 months in 2007 to find her a record deal, but didn’t, so Ke$ha doesn’t owe them anything. The deal Ke$ha currently has with RCA/Jive is independent of D.A.S.

First of all, who does one sue for releasing Ke$ha into pop culture consciousness? And I seriously doubt she has $14 million from just a couple of hit singles. (gossipbeast.com)

Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz Are Engaged – and Expecting!

Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz
Apparently homewrecking has paid off for Alicia Keys because she is getting herself a wedding and a baby.

Reps for Alicia and music producer Swizz Beatz confirm the two “are expecting a baby and are engaged to be married in a private ceremony later this year.”

It will be the first marriage for Alicia and her first child. Swizz Beatz is father to Kasseem Jr., 3, and son Prince, both from previous relationships. As you know Swizz left his ex-wife Mashonda Dean for Alicia. She naturally didn’t it take it well and is planning to write a tell all book. In the meantime Mashonda has taken legal action against the producer, claiming he’s a deadbeat dad and owes her lots of money. She is suing for $334,000 in missed alimony and child support payments in the Manhattan Supreme Court. (gossipbeast.com)

Zhao Wei in fashion shoot

Kicking off the unofficial first week of summer in the United States, the Tuesday after Memorial Day with some new pictures of Zhao Wei who has been spending her time recently finishing her MFA in directing in Beijing, picking up awards or sending regrets that she couldn't make the ceremony but would always treasure the honor of the award and not bothering to deny the usual rumors that she was either getting married, quitting the film business, moving to Antarctica or all three at the same time. She was able to stand still long enough for these pictures which were published in CRIOnline which picked them up from here.

There is a raft of Chinese entertainment sites available and since I deal with the sometimes blunt instrument of Google translation to read the text, the "who, when, where, what" part of the story doesn't always come across. This is the Google translation rendering : Recently, Zhao Wei was invited to take a group photo. New photo, the Zhao Wei fashion fantasy, like Barbie dolls.

Zhao Wei has talent to burn as an actress--seducing Karen Mok from across the street in "So Close", seamlessly moving from being an icy graduate student to a party girl for rent in "Green Tea", keeping our attention while sharing the screen with a soulful and often shirtless Chen Kun in "Painted Skin"--and has a rare beauty that makes her appear approachable and welcoming but goes far beyond cute.
I more or less worship the ground she walks on--or rather the film that her image is exposed on. Here the the pictures:
